Casa Capolino was born from a dream Irene and Raffaello never gave up: a home in Lucca, the town where they grew up, and where they always come back to.

Located in Lucca’s historic centre, this bright second-floor apartment is just a few steps from the city walls. Its charming terrace, overlooking a peaceful garden and the city’s rooftops, offers a true taste of local life. Enjoy a spacious living area with a fully equipped kitchen. The sleeping area includes two double bedrooms, and a bathroom.
A wooden spiral staircase leads to a cosy attic with skylights. Known as “The laboratory of ideas”, it is the perfect space for reading, working remotely, or practicing yoga. Small pets are welcome. Parking is nearby. Casa Capolino is easily accessible from Lucca train station via the circular bus line.

The flat enjoys a central yet peaceful position, just a short walk from Lucca’s main attractions, including Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, Torre Guinigi, San Martino Cathedral, and the lively Via Fillungo.
Despite being in the centre of town, Casa Capolino offers a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, away from the busiest tourist areas. Here you can experience Lucca like a local, within the charm of its medieval streets and elegant squares.
Absolutely! Casa Capolino is an ideal base to explore Tuscany, and central Italy thanks to its excellent transport connections. It is located 30 minutes from Pisa Airport. From Lucca, you can easily reach: Pisa and its famous Tower, 30 minutes by train; Florence, 1 hour 20 minutes by train; the seaside of Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi, 30 minutes by car or train; Garfagnana mountains, 40 minutes by car; Cinque Terre, 1.5 hours away by car or 2.5 hours by train.
Casa Capolino is within easy walking distance of all major attractions in Lucca. From our front door, you can reach by walk: Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, 5 minutes; Torre Guinigi, 8 minutes; Lucca's Renaissance Walls, 3 minutes; San Martino Cathedral (Duomo di Lucca), 6 minutes; Via Fillungo, Lucca's main shopping street, 4 minutes. Lucca is a compact, pedestrian-friendly city, best explored on foot or by bicycle along its famous city walls.
Casa Capolino is located just 15 minutes on foot from Lucca train station. You can also take a taxi, which takes 5 minutes or use the local bus service. If walking, you can enter the historic centre through Porta San Pietro, one of Lucca’s ancient city gates, and enjoy a scenic stroll through the old town.
Casa Capolino is located within Lucca's historic centre, which is part of a Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL), where private cars are not allowed inside without authorisation. If you are travelling by car, we recommend the following parking options: Via delle Tagliate, a free public parking within easy walking distance, ideal for longer stays; or if you prefer a convenient paid parking option close to the historic centre: Palatucci parking (just outside Porta San Donato) and Piazzale Verdi parking. From all parking areas, Casa Capolino is easily reachable on foot through Lucca’s beautiful historic streets.
